Baby & MeNon-SeparatingThis weekly gathering time is for babies (up to 12 months old) and their caregivers. It offers time to connect, share questions and insights, and enjoy conversations with other parents of little ones. A parent educator will be present to visit with families and facilitate a circle time during the last part of the session. Early Childhood Family Education’s Family Gym Night’s at Goodview Elementary are back! Family Gym Night provides an indoor space for kids to scooter, jump, crawl, play with balls, use riding toys and more. This free family event is geared toward children ages birth-5 years old. ECFE at RidgewaySeparatingJoin ECFE at Ridgeway Community School for a five-week evening separating class. From 5:30-6:00 PM on Wednesdays, parents and children can enjoy a free light supper together, courtesy of RCS. At 6:00, parents will separate to another classroom, and enjoy a one-hour discussion facilitated by a licensed parent educator. During our first week together, we will spend time sharing about what we want to discuss in our group, and the parent educator will build our remaining four discussions around the topics that matter the most to YOU right now!Fall 2025 -

In this lively early childhood class, children and parents explore hands-on activities together-then parents gather for meaningful discussion while little ones keep the fun going with their teacher through songs, stories and creative play. It’s a wonderful blend of learning, laughter and community!Upon separation parents will enter into discussions that will be informed and inspired by the book Hunt, Gather, Parent by Michaeleen Doucleff. No reading required! *PLEASE NOTE* This class is a a shortened series unlike our normal ECFE classes that run 8 weeks or more. Due to this when selecting your sliding fee scale please cut your number in half so you will be charged properly for length of the class. For example: If your income is 80,000-89,999 and you would normally pay $81 per class, please choose the 40,000-49,999 option and pay $37 for this class. Podcast ParentingSeparatingThrough the exploration of various podcasts on varying topics, parents gain confidence in their problem solving and critical thinking. This helps continue to increase parenting skills as children advance through developmental stages. The primary procedure for the teaching of this class will be through the sharing, listening and discussion of various Podcasts. The teacher will share a podcast for the week for parents to listen to before class and then a discussion will be held on the podcast/topic during class. Small groups, round robins and individual discussion will also be used. ★ Each week, prior to the start of class the teacher will send out an email to the parents in the class with the information about the podcast(s) that we will discuss. Parents will be given a running list of all podcast episodes shared and discussed along with readings, notes, and handouts to keep. Children will participate in learning activities with a licensed teacher that are tailored to meet their needs while parents are in discussion group.★ This class requires time on your own outside of class.Fall 2025 -
Rooted in Connection: Nurturing Yourself and Your Child-Quarter 3SeparatingThis class is all about growing confidence-one playful step at a time. Families begin together with hands-on activities, songs, and storiesafter which parents separate. It’s the perfect mix of together time and “I can do it!” As part of this trauma-informed parenting class during separation time we offer parents/care- givers education and support to understand the effects of trauma on parents and children while developing strategies for healing and building secure relationships. We’ll explore how connection and self-awareness help create calm, nurturing relationships at home. Learn practical tools to care for yourself, respond with empathy and strengthen your family’s roots of trust & understanding.Winter/Spring 2026
