Drop-In Playgroup is an opportunity for children to learn, grow and develop through play. There is something to keep every child happy and busy, with a baby and toddler area, activities for preschoolers, a great outdoor space, plus lots of art, craft and messy play. This weekly gathering welcomes expectant parents and families with babies from birth to 12 months. It’s a space to connect, share questions and experiences, and build community with other parents in the early stages of family life. An ECFE educator will facilitate group discussion and close with a short circle time. This free drop-in class offers a relaxed and supportive environment for both prenatal and new parents. Sibling care for children ages 12 months through kindergarten may be requested 72 hours in advance by calling (507) 494-0913. ECFE Around Town is an exciting extension of our Early Childhood Family Education (ECFE) program, designed for families, caregivers, and children from birth to age 9 across the district. Just like our traditional ECFE classes, this program offers: ·Fun, age-appropriate activities ·Opportunities to connect with other families ·Discussion time focused on parenting and child development ·Helpful resources and community information The home base for this class will be at Goodview Elementary, but our goal this year will be to be out in nature and checking out various community spots.
