AIASA Club - Explore Native Cultures!Clubs & EnrichmentsAre you curious about different American Indian cultures? Want to try hands-on activities and learn cool traditions? Then AIASA (American Indian After School Activities) Club is for you! At our first meeting, you get to help choose the activities we'll do! Some fun ideas include: making a traditional medicine bag, cooking a Native meal, learning about plants and going on a medicine walk, and discovering different Tribal Nations and their traditions. ArcheryClubs & EnrichmentsThis program will be directed by the National Archery in the Schools (NASP) and DNR certified instructors. It is available to beginner and experienced archers and will follow the NASP safety, instructional, and shooting format. Participants will use the Genesis bows and supplies provided by the club. Students may ride the bus to Ridgeway and MUST be picked up by parents when done. You must be preregistered for this class. For more information go to www.archeryintheschools.org. Basketball - Boys (5th & 6th Grade)SportsSlam dunk your way into a great basketball season! 5th and 6th grade boys will practice skills, drills, and ball control. Teams will be formed and intramural games will be played. Emphasis will be on preparing participants for competitive play as 7th graders. Practices will be held at W-K Elementary. Students will be bused to W-K Elementary and parents must pick up at the end of practice at W-K. There will be no practice on November 25 and the weeks of December 15 and 22.Fall 2025

CheerleadingSportsGrab your tennis shoes, shorts, and get your best cheer moves ready. Cheerleaders will practice two times a week. Participants will work on cheers, kicks, formations, and above all, have FUN! Uniforms will be provided while cheering at a 7th and 8th grade home football game. Cross Country (5th & 6th Grade)SportsIt’s time to find your stride! Students will run daily, short and long distances. Participants will run a 5K early on to test their time, and again at season's end to gauge their improvement. Runners will encourage each other and learn to run as a team. Dance (5th & 6th Grade)SportsYou just gotta dance! Dance team will teach you the basics of hip hop, jazz, and high kick dance. Dance team is for dancers of all levels and experience. There will be a final show for the parents to show off what dancers have learned. Grab a friend and your dance shoes (tennis shoes are fine) and get moving to the music! Drama ClubClubs & EnrichmentsDrama Club (sponsored by Community Education) will be performing "The Mad Tea Party" on February 26 and 27. Mad Hatter, Dormouse, and March Hare meet for a tea party to honor Time, who has forgiven the Hatter and set time right once again. When Jabberwock comes and wreaks havoc, the tea party guests decide that something must be done! All 6th, 7th, and 8th graders are invited to join us! Auditions will be held on December 8 and 9; everyone who auditions will be given a part. Not comfortable on stage? We have a place for Drama Club members who want to work backstage or in the light/sound booth. There will be two additional meeting dates on December 3 and 22. Students' rehearsal schedules will vary according to their character. Attendance at rehearsals is critical in order to produce a quality show and Drama Club takes a lot of time and commitment.
