CLAY: Textured, Hand-painted BowlsArts & CraftsExplore texture in clay, and make three functional bowls! You'll drape stoneware slabs in slump molds and over hump molds. Some bowls will have feet and others will be flat-bottomed. Paint your own designs with underglazes. A $15 Materials Fee is paid directly to the instructor at the beginning of the workshop. Clay: ButterdishArts & CraftsMake a two-piece butter dish, including a base and a lid with a handle. You can decorate the lid surface with either texture or hand-painting. Or, add some 3-D sculptural elements, like a cow's head and tail (or flowers? leaves?) if you want to have even more fun! Clay: Cat SculptureArts & CraftsSlab and coil-build a realistically-posed, sitting cat sculpture, create fur with texture, paint details with underglazes, and have fun with the facial expression. You can leave the top of the back open to create a vase, or complete it as a hollow, enclosed sculpture. Decorate some of the surface with colored underglazes. We will create custom blankets featuring your choice of a decorative popcorn or flower edge, which creates a unique look when the blanket is rolled up. Great as a gift, or keep for yourself. Sew Your Own Grocery Tote BagArts & CraftsThis class is for beginners with no experience needed, the class will provide guided instructions and each participant will create their own tote bag to bring home. Students will learn French seams, measuring/cutting techniques and sewing machine basics. NOTE: Participants need to bring their own sewing machines to class. Also, there is a $15 material fee paid directly to the instructor at the time of class. The material fee includes: Canvas, lining fabrics and webbing. We will also provide the thread, needles, pins, clips, marking tools, rulers, scissors, etc. to use at class.Fall 2026
