In this class we will take an in-depth review of many issues (and problems) that may be faced from our parents estate plan (or lack thereof) such as: creating a difficult Probate, loss of assets to the Nursing Home, fighting amongst the children, senior care issues, guardianship, privacy, the continued life of the surviving parent, estate tax protection, fairness and equality, legacy assets and the flow of critical information between the generations. With our 30 years of experience, we will discuss actual Minnesota examples of all of the above challenges and how they can be avoided in advance with some simple planning and exchange of information. All questions will be answered in an open and friendly forum.

With our presenters' over 50 years of practice we have learned time and time again that whether you are in your 40s, 50s, or 60s there are several milestones and over-looked life areas where mistakes can lead to results that range from discomfort to disaster. Join us in reading The Wild Robot by Peter Brown. Together, we’ll read portions of the book in the group, and students will also have time to read independently. Book club will include engaging discussions and fun activities inspired by the story. Each student will get to keep their copy of the book.
