Winona Area Public Schools Community Education's Key Kids Childcare program offers after-school care and full day care on non-school days, snow days and during summer break. The mission of Key Kids is to provide a safe and enriching environment for every child to play and interact. Participants will experience caring staff who offer meaningful student learning and recreational opportunities designed to enhance a child’s social, physical, cognitive and recreational skills. School Year and Summer Key Kids is available to all families, regardless of residence or school district. School Year Key Kids Child Care is offered to children entering grades Pre-K - 4th grade. Summer Key Kids is for children entering Kindergarten through 6th grade. Children must be 5 years of age by June 1 and registered to attend Kindergarten in the fall in order to attend Summer Key Kids. When you submit your registration, you will receive an email notifying you that your contract is waiting for staff approval. Your child is NOT registered for Key Kids until you receive a second email stating your contract has been accepted. At that time, you will be billed the $40 registration fee. A $40 annual registration fee is charged per family - this includes both School Year and Summer programs. For families attending summer care only, the registration fee is $30 per family.

The Winona Area Learning Center Child Care Center is committed to the care and growth of infants and toddlers of student parents. We provide a strong developmental child care program and support for student parents while they complete their high school education, prepare to enter the work force or advance themselves to further education. Our policies are determined by the Mn Department of Children, Youth and Families and Winona Area Public Schools. Policies intend to ensure the health, safety and well-being of the children as well as the parents. We apply policies with flexibility and in the best interest of the child and the parent when possible, where health and safety and licensing requirements will not be compromised.
