Pilates for EveryoneFitness & WellnessDescription: Pilates is a movement practice that allows the body to feel as an interconnected whole. Pilates strengthens the core, improves mobility, and revitalizes energy with moves that connect to the breath. Pilates is a gentle and powerful practice of sequential moves that build stability, strength and mobility in the whole body. Movements are done on a mat using the breath to be steady and not in a rush. The small controlled movements help to sculpt muscle and strengthen the core. They improve posture by bringing awareness to how we hold the body. The results continue to be felt with more ease in the joints, relief from chronic aches and pains, and more spaciousness in the hips. No Class March 12, Spring Break Please Note: Participants are advised to bring a yoga mat, water bottle, and comfortable clothing. NiaFitness & WellnessNia is a fusion movement class that allows a person to move in a way that feels good to them. Music from around the world is fun to move to. it is choreographed with simple movements that repeat. We start with a warm up and gently move with more energy as it feel right for each individual. By the time the class is over, our whole body has moved. We listen to our body and move in ways that bring ease and comfort as well as strength. At the end of class we go to the floor to stretch on a mat. Nia promotes balance, strength, agility and ease. it brings in aspects of dance, martial arts and healing arts such as Yoga through the class. Nia is done barefoot and can be done with shoes on when a person has foot sensitivities. Please bring a mat, water bottle and open mind for allowing your body to feel good. *No class March 12, Spring Break.Winter/Spring 2026
