    Workshops

    A Local Mental Health Advisory Council (LAC) offers individuals, parents, families, and providers the opportunity to make a real difference in how mental health care is provided in their community. It offers county and state policy makers the wisdom of those who experience mental health concerns first-hand. Who can serve on the LAC? Adults with a mental illness, family members of an adult with mental illness, mental health professionals, community support services program representative, someone who was in a mental health program as a child or adolescent, parents or guardian of a child or adolescent with severe emotional disturbance, children's mental health professionals, representative of minority populations of significant size residing in the county, or family community support services program representatives.   • Safe Dates - An Evidence Based Program to Prevent Dating Violence
    Workshops

    Safe Dates is an evidence based program that educates youth on how to identify and prevent dating violence. Over the course of a single day session, students will learn and discuss the causes of dating violence, how they can help a friend in an abusive relationship, common stereotypes regarding dating violence and important prevention techniques.
