Clay: Tiles

Have fun making and decorating several clay tiles, with a variety of ceramic surface treatments. Techniques include several ways to create texture, relief, sgrafitto, underglaze painting, use stencils, a silkscreen image, and more. Please Note: There is a $15 material fee paid to the instructor at the time of class.

Island City Clayspace Workshops are for adults & teenage 14+. Functional ceramic projects are food-safe and can be put in the dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Clay, use of tools, underglazes, bisque firing, glaze and glaze firing are all included, as applicable. Workshops include detailed demos, and participants practice clay-working skills. Workshops are suitable for both beginners & experienced clay artists. Fired project pick-up by arrangement.
