Clay: Cat Sculpture

Slab and coil-build a realistically-posed, sitting cat sculpture, create fur with texture, paint details with underglazes, and have fun with the facial expression. You can leave the top of the back open to create a vase, or complete it as a hollow, enclosed sculpture. Decorate some of the surface with colored underglazes. Please Note: There is a $15 material fee paid directly to the instructor at class.

Island City Clayspace Workshops are for adults & teenage 14+. Functional ceramic projects are food-safe and can be put in the dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Clay, use of tools, underglazes, bisque firing, glaze and glaze firing are all included, as applicable. Workshops include detailed demos, and participants practice clay-working skills. Workshops are suitable for both beginners & experienced clay artists. Fired project pick-up by arrangement.
