Clay: Butterdish
Make a two-piece butter dish, including a base and a lid with a handle. You can decorate the lid surface with either texture or hand-painting. Or, add some 3-D sculptural elements, like a cow's head and tail (or flowers? leaves?) if you want to have even more fun! Please Note: There is a $15 material fee due to the instructor at the time of class.
Island City Clayspace Workshops are for adults & teenage 14+. Functional ceramic projects are food-safe and can be put in the dishwasher, microwave, and oven. Clay, use of tools, underglazes, bisque firing, glaze and glaze firing are all included, as applicable. Workshops include detailed demos, and participants practice clay-working skills. Workshops are suitable for both beginners & experienced clay artists. Fired project pick-up by arrangement.
