All the elements of a teapot - body, lid, handle and spout - will be addressed so you can create a functional vessel. Explore a sculptural approach, creating a teapot that is a bird, other animal, human face, covered with vegetation, building, vehicle, etc. Or, decorate the dome shape with underglazes, using traditional teapot motifs (flowers, birds) or your own imagery. CLAY: Sculpted SkullAdult EnrichmentFired in time to help celebrate Dia de los Muertes, and Halloween! You will sculpt a life-scale, hollow human skull in clay, using a high quality, medical model for reference. Keep it as a skull, or modify it to hold a candle. CLAY: Wall ReliefArts & CraftsA subtle relief can create a surprising sense of depth. Experiment with adding and subtracting clay to create a relief to hang on the wall. The outside shape of your relief can add to the theme, design, or image you focus on, and some negative space can create another dimension. Colored underglazes included.
